Siraj 8-wicket haul rattles Australia ‘A’

Bengaluru, September 2: India’s Mohammed Siraj (8/59) bowled a demolishing spell while Usman Khawaja (127, 228 balls, 20 X 4) stood amid ruins as Asutralia were rattled for 243 on the opening day of the first Unofficial Test at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, Khawaja made a fighting century ably supported by Mars Labuschagne (60) and Kurtis Patterson (31) to help the visitors post a decent total. Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets.

In reply, India ‘A’ were 41 for no wicket with star batsman Mayank Agarwal (31 batting) and Samarth R (10 batting) in the middle.
