Dubai, September 19: A clinical all-round show from India decimated Pakistan by eight wickets in a one-sided Asia Cup Group league clash on Wednesday here.

After surviving a scare against Hong Kong a day before, India’s bowling unit came back strongly to bowl out Pakistan for a paltry 162 in 43.1 overs. In reply, opening pair Rohit Sharma (52 off 39 balls) and Shikhar Dhawan (46 off 54 balls) added 86 to set up a foundation for a smooth chase for India in only 29 overs.

India bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/15) and Kedar Jadhav (3/23) led the onslaught while Jasprit Bumrah (2/23) and Kuldeep Yadav (1/37) shared the spoils to enter the Super 4s.

For Pakistan, except for Babar Azam (47) and Shoaib Malik (43), the rest gave away their wickets as gifts before being shot out for meagre total.

In the Super4 match, India will take on neighbours Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday.

Watch the action live on Star Sports from 5 PM onwards.
