Bengaluru, September 15: For his impressive run in the domestic tournaments and India ‘A’ matches, BCCI has asked Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna to join the India squad during the Asia Cup that will begin today.
Along with right-arm pacer Prasidh, fellow speedsters Avesh Khan, Siddharth Kaul and leg-spinner Mayank Markande will bowl to Rohit Sharma-led squad during practice in Dubai on the eve of Asia Cup. India will begin their Asia Cup campaign against Hong Kong on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old Prasidh has played two first-class matches and has taken eight wickets while 45 wickets in 27 List ‘A’ matches.
Prasidh caught the attention of the selectors during heroics with the ball for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League 2018.
Prasidh will join the Karnataka team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy opening encounter against Maharashtra on September 20.
