Nottinghamshire, September 13: Murali Vijay may have lost the spot in the India Test squad but he has made a mark for county side Essex smashing a century on debut.
In their eight-wicket win against Nottinghamshire on Thursday, the experienced opener Vijay scored 100 in the second innings of the four-day game.
Meanwhile, in the recently concluded Test series against England, Vijay just managed to score 26 runs in two matches. He was replaced by Mumbai youngster Prithvi Shaw for the fourth and fifth Tests.
