Bengaluru, October 4: With an unassailable 2-0 lead, India clinched the three-match series against England after the third tie was washed out due to heavy downpour.
Englan’s Pete Blueitt, India duo Ajay Reddy and Sunil Ramesh were adjudged the best players for the tournament.
In the third match played on Thursday, Indian captain Reddy won the toss and opted to bowl first. Indian bowlers struck in tandem to bowl out the Englishmen for 139. Captain Reddy led from the front picking up four wickets giving away only six runs.
At the innings break, the heavens opened up an the match was washed out due to wet outfield.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will join India and England for a Tri series to commence from Friday.
