FIBA Asia Cup 2021: Vishesh Bhriguvanshi to lead India in qualifiers


Bengaluru, February 17: For the first-ever FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers (window 1), the Basketball Federation of India has announced Vishesh Bhriguvanshi as the skipper of the Indian team.

Ranked 13th in Asia, India will play home and away in three windows.

In the first window, India face Bahrain on Friday (February 21) at the Khalifa Sports City, Bahrain and later take on Iraq on February 24th at the Shaeb Hall, Iraq.

The second window will be open from November 23, 2020, to December 1, 2020. The game days in the second windows are to be on November 26-27 and 29-30. The concluding window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers will be from February 15-23, 2021 – where the game days will be on February 18-19 and 21-22.

A total of 72 games will be played across three windows.
