India vs South Africa Test series: KL Rahul dropped, Shubman Gill called up

Bengaluru, September 12: Following a poor run with the bat in the recently concluded Test series against the West Indies, India and Karnataka opening batsman KL Rahul has been dropped from the India Test squad for the Paytm Freedom Series for Gandhi-Mandela Trophy.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in New Delhi on Thursday to include Shubman Gill in the Test side. He replaced Rahul in the team.

Meanwhile, the Committee also picked the Board President’s XI team for a three-day warm-up game to be played in Vizianagaram from September 26th.
