Chennai, March 23: In their 12th season of the IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore never seem to get their combination right. At the toss, skipper Virat Kohli claimed that without Marcus Stoinis and Nathan Coulter-Nile, they managed to find the right set to begin their season.
What happened after that was a total disaster!
RCB succumbed to a seven-wicket loss against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk. All credit to veterans Harbhajan Singh (3/20) and South African Imran Tahir (3/9) – who destroyed RCB to post a low 70.
In reply, CSK proved their fortress remained strong by cruising home in 17.4 overs. RCB bowlers tried their bit to defend the paltry total but it wasn’t simply enough.
Meanwhile, Twitter had its own share of criticism on RCB.
