Bengaluru, October 29: Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Mandeep Singh will play for Kings XI Punjab in the next season of the Indian Premier League.
In the IPL’s first trading window, Kings XI Punjab have registered for their second trade-off with a straight swap of Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis for Mandeep. The Punjab middle-order batsman, who has represented RCB in 40 matches, scored 597 runs at an average of 22.11 and a strike rate of 128.94.
Earlier at the auctions, Stoinis was sold to the RCB but KXIP retained him by Right-To-Match card for a sum Rs. 6.20 crore. On the other hand, RCB had bought Mandeep for 1.40 crore.
Stoinis played 19 matches for KXIP where he hit 262 runs at a strike rate of 125.96 while he also picked up 13 wickets.
