IPL: Nagendra Prasad joins Mumbai Indians as head trainer

Bengaluru, March 15: With a week left to the start of the new Indian Premier League season, three-time champions Mumbai Indians have recruited city-based trainer Nagendra Prasad.

Having worked at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, the experienced ‘Nagi’ has been signed by the Rohit Sharma-led side.

In the domestic circuit, Nagi has worked with KPL team Bijapur Bulls.

Mumbai boasts a strong squad with Yuvraj Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Ben Cutting, Quinton de Kock, Lasith Malinga, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya.

Mumbai begin their campaign against Delhi Capitals at their home ground Wankhede Stadium on March 24.
