Japan Open: Sai Praneeth bows out in semifinals

Tokyo, July 27: Indian shuttler Sai Praneeth bowed out of the men’s singles semifinals at the Japan Open Super 750 on Friday.

Praneeth, the only Indian to make it to the semifinals, lost to Kento Momota 21-18, 21-12 in 46 minutes.

Earlier, PV Sindhu and Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy were knocked out in the last eight. Few of the players will now head to Bangkok for the Thailand Open.
