Bengaluru, July 29: Having fought back in the game after a fine show from Ricky Bhui, KSCA XI had Andhra at 4/2 at the end of Day 2 in the KSCA Dr. (Capt.) K Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament, here on Monday.
Chasing down a modest 293 set by the visitors, Karnataka on overnight 4/0, were bowled out for 255 in the first innings. Opener Samarth R (56), Nischal D (48), Karun Nair (35) and Siddharth KV (79) were the top-scorers for the hosts. G Manish and D Swaroop Kumar claimed three wickets each while Shoaib Mohd Khan bagged two to help their side take a 38-run first-innings lead.
In the second essay, Andhra were on the back-foot with Prasidh M Krishna and Suchith J striking from either end.
In the other semifinal, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh were in a healthy position at 210/4 chasing Bangladesh Cricket Board XI’s 334.
