KSCA elections: Roger Binny for president, Santosh Menon for secretary


Bengaluru, September 28: With a few days remaining for the Karnataka State Cricket Association elections, former India all-rounder and World Cup-winning cricketer Roger Binny will contesting for the president post while Santosh Menon will be battling it out for the secretary position.

For the first time in the history of KSCA elections – which will be held on October 3 – EVMs have been introduced.

According to sources from the KSCA, former secretary Brijesh Patel’s factions will be out in big numbers to support former Test player Binny. For the vice-president’s post, J Abhiram and Shahvir Tarapore are in the race while Vinay Mrutyunjaya is contesting for the Treasurer post.

From the Life Member category, former India women’s cricket team skipper Shantha Rangaswamy and Shanti Swarup while for the committee members, ex Karnataka stumper Tilak Naidu, Jai Singh and Kota Kodandaram are contesting.
