Being one of the key centres in the country for badminton, Bengaluru will not host the upcoming Premier Badminton League (PBL) games, due to the unavailability of the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium.

All the matches scheduled to be played in Bengaluru will be moved to Hyderabad.

The city was scheduled to host two leagues matches, semifinals and the title clash – February 5 to 9. According to Atul Pande, MD, Sportzlive said, “Bengaluru is unlikely to host matches this season. We are looking to shift the matches to Hyderabad.”

In the same week, a Mini Olympics is being hosted by the Karnataka Olympic Association at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

The League begins in Chennai from January 20 followed by Lucknow (January 25) and Hyderabad (January 29).
