Johnny Aubert finishes at P17; Michael Metge at P20 & Lorenzo Santolino at P27
Morocco, October 7: The first leg of the marathon stage concluded with riders covering a distance of about 435 km. At the end of the stage, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team’s Johnny Aubert stands at P17, Michael Metge at P20, and Lorenzo Santolino at P27 in the FIM Motorcycle category.
David Casteu, Team Manager, said, “The terrain of the marathon stage was a mix of grass, sand, gravel, and lot of rocks, which is challenging for both rider and the machine. The navigation is the key to sustain your rankings in the race. Rally of Morocco is an ultimate training ground for Dakar and I am thrilled to see our riders taking the challenge with consistent performance. The entire team is determined to give our best.”
Johnny Aubert, Racer, said, “It was a long, tough stage but I am happy to complete the first leg of the marathon stage without being too aggressive on the bike. I did lose a couple of minutes due to miss in navigation but I covered it midway in the stage. I hope to give my best shot in the next leg of the marathon stage.”
