Belagavi, November 23: Karnataka continued their fine run in the Ranji Trophy garnering another three crucial points with a drawn against 41-time champions Mumbai here on Friday.
On the final day at the KSCA Stadium, Karnataka began on overnight 81/3 and later declared at 170/5. Siddharth was again the star with the bat in the second essay with fine 71.
In chase of 366, Mumbai managed 173/4 to settle for a point. But Karnataka grabbed three points virtue of first innings lead. For Mumbai, Akhil Herwadkar (53), Suryakumar Yadav (53) and Aditya Tare scored in the drawn game.
Karnataka are placed in third place with six points while Mumbai are sixth with four.
For the next game against Maharastra to be played on November 28 at Mysuru, it is more likely that R. Vinay Kumar will be back in the squad.
