Bengaluru, January 1: Having given away vital points to Himachal Pradesh in their third game of the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 season, domestic heavyweights Karnataka will now take on Mumbai in their away game at the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai from Friday.
The Karun Nair-led side will miss the services of star opener Mayank Agarwal – who has been advised rest by the BCCI ahead of the India ‘A’ tour of New Zealand. In his spot, R. Samarth has been recalled into the side as Mayank replacement.
Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane and Prithvi Shaw have been included in the Mumbai squad for this game. Mumbai will be heavily banking on this duo following their loss to Railways.
Shaw smashed a double ton against Baroda in the season opener but failed in both the innings against Railways at Wankhede Stadium while fellow batsman Rahane too faltered.
