Thiruvanthapuram, September 24: With an overall 227 points in their bag, a dominant Karnataka emerged champions at the 72nd Senior National Swimming championship held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Aquatic complex here on Sunday.

Results: Men: 800m freestyle: 1. Advait Page (MP) 8:12.51; NR; OR – 8:12.57, Saurabh Sangvekar, Kar, 2011), 2. Kushagra Rawat (Del) 8:16.59, 3. Aryan Makhija (SFI).

200m butterfly: 1. Sajan Prakash (Ker) 1:57.73; NR; OR – 1:59.12, Sajan Prakash, Ker, 2017), 2. Supriya Mondal (Rly) 2:03.36, 3. Sanu Debnath (Rly) 2:04.13.

100m backstroke: 1. Srihari Nataraj (Kar) 56.53; NR; OR – 57.20, Srihari Nataraj, Kar, 2017), 2. P.S. Madhu (Ser) 58.29, 3. T. Sethu Manickavel (TN) (58.60).

Women: 400m freestyle: 1. Shivani Kataria (Har) 4:30.78, 2. Khushi Dinesh (Kar) 4:34.10, 3. Bhavika Dugar (TN) 4:37.68.

200m butterfly: 1. Richa Mishra (Pol) 2:21.92, 2. Trisha Karkhanis (SFI) 2:22.48, 3. Srishti Nag (Cht) 2:24.85.
