Indore, March 8: Karnataka began their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 Super League stage with a convincing seven-wicket over Mumbai in Indore on Friday.
Electing to bat first, Mumbai managed to post 97 in the allotted 20 overs. Akash Parkar topped with 22 while Vinay Kumar and Manoj Bhandage grabbed two wickets each for the winners.
In reply, Karnataka raced to target with – balls to spare. In-form Rohan Kadam led the charge with a 45–ball 62 that helped Karnataka overhaul the target in just 13.2 overs.
Karnataka next face Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.
