Bengaluru, October 26: Top seed Suraj Prabodh of Karnataka quelled the challenge of state-mate and third seed Prajwal SD Dev to take one more step closer to entering the main draw of the Bengaluru Open with a 6-3, 7-6 (2) victory in a semifinal tie of the Bengaluru Open Wild Card AITA ranking tennis tournament being played at the KSLTA here on Friday.
Suraj will clash with fourth seed Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash of Tamil Nadu in the title clash. Mayur recorded a minor upset when he overcame Dalwinder Singh of Punjab 6-3, 6-3.
Meanwhile, the top seed duo of Prajwal SD Dev and Mohit Jayaprakash beat the pair of Suraj Prabodh and Dalwinder Singh 6-3, 6-4 to win the doubles crown.
