U-16 women’s cricket: Karnataka emerge South Zone champions

Bengaluru, January 18: The Karnataka U-16 women’s cricket team remained unbeaten by winning all the six matches to emerge champions at the South Zone cricket tournament on Friday.

En route to their title victory, Karnataka defeated Tamil Nadu by five wickets in the opening game. In the second, Andhra were defeated by seven wickets. The rout continued as Hyderabad was outplayed by six wickets.

Having won four back-to-back matches, Karnataka registered a comfortable nine-wicket win against Goa. The women sealed the title after winning the last match with a 122-run triumph against Puducherry.
