Savar, Bangladesh, September 30: Karnataka’s Devdutt Padikkal (121) and Anuj Rawat (102) smashed centuries each to help India U-19 record a huge 227-run win against United Arab Emirates in the U1-9 Asia Cup here on Sunday.
Electing to bat first, Devdutt and Anuj stitched a 205-run first-wicket partnership to lay the foundation. Later, skipper Pawan Shah (45), Sameer Choudhary (42) and Ayush Badoni (21) came up with some useful contributions to post a formidable 354 for six in the allotted 50 overs.
In reply, India’s Sidharth’s bagged a six-wicket haul as UAE were bowled out for a meagre 127.
