Bengaluru, September 11: With India going down to England in the fifth and final Test in London, the India ‘A’ squad pulled off a series-levelling six-wicket win against Australia ‘A’ on the final day of the second unofficial ‘Test’ at Alur here.

Chasing a tricky 55 from eight overs, Ankeet Bawane’s quickfire (28 not out, 18b, 3×4) helped the hosts cross the finish line with 1.4 overs to spare.

Brief scores: Australia A: 346 and 213 all out in 102.5 overs (Travis Head 47, Peter Handscomb 56, Mitchell Marsh 36; K Gowtham 3/39, Kuldeep Yadav 3/46, Deepak Chahar 2/30, Shahbaz Nadeem 2/67) bt India A: 505 and 55/4 in 6.2 overs (Ankit Bawne 28 not out, KS Bharat 12; Michael Neser 2/28, Chris Tremain 2/26).
