Bengaluru, September 13: As a cricket administrator of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), Brijesh Patel has an experience of over two decades.
And now, the former India Test cricketer Patel is gearing up to take charge as the next BCCI president, say KSCA sources.
Being one of the senior cricket administrators in the country, Patel resigned from the KSCA secretary position last year after serving the state for over nine years – that is three tenures.
With the current given scenario at BCCI and strong support from former BCCI chief N. Srinivasan – who has a sizeable vote bank – Patel could be the candidate. Going by the rules, Pate clears the Lodha Committee test and he is just 65.
